Electrical Engineer, Petrofac Intl Ltd, Sharjah, February 2005 - July 2005
Worked as Electrical Engineer in the Kashagan Experimental Developmental Program in Kazakhstan. Designed the Lighting system for a unit of the Gas Plant of the Project. Was part of a 2-member team to reduce the costs of cabling for the project by $ 1.5 million

Teaching Assistant, BITS, Pilani–Dubai Campus, September 2004 - January 2005
Worked as the TA for the course ‘Digital Electronics and Computer Organization’ in the Digital Electronics Laboratory. Awarded certificate of commendation, stating my work to be “Excellent”.

Completed training in Building Management Systems, Protocols and Communication, Integration of Various modules to form an IBMS, Variable Frequency Drives. Did a project - "Communication Technology in Buildings"

PROJECTS

‘CDMA and the Applications of Adaptive Filters’ – A study-based project, involving an in-depth analysis of the single and multi-user receivers used for Code Division Multiple Access. Emphasis given to the applications of Adaptive Filters used in the Single – user receivers.

‘VLSI Design of DSP Algorithms’ - The project involved writing codes for the implementation of DSP Algorithms using Verilog HDL, for the design of FIR and IIR Filters.

‘Communication Technology in Buildings’ for SIEMENS - Landis and Staefa, Dubai, in 2003 This project involved designing an IBMS system, by integrating HVAC, Lighting, CCTV and Security modules.

‘Economic Area and Indoor Lighting Design’ – Done for Petrofac Intl Ltd, Sharjah, this project involved the design of the Lighting System for a unit of the Gas Plant of the Kashagan Experimental Developmental Program in Kazakhstan.

‘Logistics of Spinneys Supermarket’ – This project involved collecting real time information about the Inventory levels, transportation costs etc. from Spinneys Group of Companies in Dubai. It was suggested that building another warehouse in Abu Dhabi would prove economical.

• Winner of the 'Gold Medal of Acheivement', awarded by BITS, Pilani - Dubai Campus for the best student in all the departments

• The only student member of the 'Student Discipline Committee' of BITS, Pilani - Dubai Campus (BPDC)

• Head of the Student Education Committee in BPDC

• Senior Editor of the college newsletter, for two years in BPDC

• Class Representative for two consecutive years in BPDC

• Won a number of prizes in Essay Writing and Public Speaking Competitions

• Was member of College’s Inter-University Public Speaking Team

• Stood 2nd in the Inter-city Essay Writing Competition held in Andhra Pradesh, India
